Peter has over 20 years of real estate experience, and heads up HSBC’s real estate investment banking team for South-East Asia and Australia.  Peter held senior positions in Goldman Sachs’ Asian real estate investment banking team, and senior investment roles at leading real estate fund managers Colonial First State and Bankers Trust.

Peter leads HSBC’s real estate investment banking team responsible for origination, structuring and completion of pre-IPO investment opportunities, IPOs and equity/equity-linked capital raisings, corporate finance advisory, M&A and private fund opportunities across South East Asia and Australia. 

In 2011, Peter helped HSBC’s real estate clients raise almost US$11bn of capital across REIT IPOs, follow-on equity and convertible bonds.  He also has extensive experience advising on various transactions in the hospitality sector, including:
- New World Hospitality’s acquisition of Rosewood Hotels
- Regal REIT IPO
- BT Hotel Trust IPO
- Creation of Commonwealth Hotel Fund
- GPT and Grand Hotel Group M&A
- Numerous hotel M&A transactions in Australia

Peter worked at UBS Investment Bank, was a senior lawyer at Mallesons Stephen Jaques and worked at Arthur Andersen, a global integrated financial advisory and accountancy firm.
