COMMUNITY

HICAP is committed to the hospitality industry from the grassroots level. Through our involvement with several scholarships and student volunteer programs with institutions around the world, we aim to give opportunities to young people in all aspects of the industry.

Proceeds from HICAP go towards funding scholarships at the following institutions:

CORNELL UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF HOTEL ADMINISTRATION; ITHACA, NEW YORK, USA:
Since 1998, this scholarship has and continues to provide an annual merit scholarship award for a worthy Asian student at Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.

ECOLE D’HOTELLERIE ET DE TOURISME PAUL DUBRULE; SIEM REAP, CAMBODIA:
Established in 2003, this scholarship provides complete annual funding for hospitality and tourism diplomas for four underprivileged students selected by the school. In a country where 40% of people live below the poverty threshold and a university graduation rate of only 8%, these scholarships help to give students hope, further their education and a real chance to lift their families out of hardship. The School successfully places 90% of all graduates of the program into hotel positions.
