The HICAP Innovation Award recognizes and celebrates an individual(s) or company who has created innovative products, services, ideas, or processes that have enhanced, expanded or advanced the hospitality and tourism industries in the region and beyond. Recipients are determined by special committee comprised of senior level industry participants.

The HICAP Trailblazer Award is presented selectively to an individual who embodies a trailblazer’s spirit and success in leading the industry into new directions and levels, and contributions to the industry at large. The first HICAP Trailblazer Award was presented to Peter Barge, Jones Lang LaSalle’s former Asia Pacific Chairman and Global Chairman of Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels, for his groundbreaking efforts in the real estate transactions and advisory business in the region, at the inaugural HICAP UPDATE in Singapore in May 2009.
